Hi, I was just curious if, those that are confirmed for Artist Alley, have received any payment/contract confirmation yet? I payed and sent in my contract in December, but I haven't heard if my payment was recorded as received/ my contract accepted. I would hate to loose my spot in AA because I failed on something like paper work.

I've sent out confirmations today (2/09) to everyone that I have contracts for. I'm double checking with both the treasurer and my boss the Director of Relations to make sure I haven't missed any stragglers. I've been REALLY flexible with the deadline.

I will start contacting Waitlist on Monday, once I'm confident that I've received all the contracts that have been sent.

Thank you! I got the confirmation e-mail, and I've sent you an e-mail reply with a request for a few changes to my table listing.

Hello! I'm a club member of Cascade High School's Anime Club

My friend was in charge of talking with you guys before. If you didn't notice from her "Omg help us" thing earlier.

We did send in our contract though and we did send our payment in too. (I don't recall when, I just know it was on time and we were all thankful for that.)

As I've noticed though - you say you've gotten the confirmation info out already.
Unfortunately we haven't gotten any information yet, and are unsure if the email got lost.
We haven't gotten a letter saying we didn't get it either though.

Please respond soon. (I've also emailed artistalley@sakuracon.org)
It might be more reliable to contact me at my email instead.

What happens, if there are 4 artists sharing a table, but only one of the artists can show up on Friday? (all 4 artists will be there on Saturday and Sunday)

Thanks

One of the artists for that table checks in on Friday, and the rest check in on Saturday. So long as someone picks up the table on Friday, you'll be fine.

I heard if the artists don't arrive on Friday to claim their table (even if they're coming on Saturday), that it's given to a person on the waiting list. Is this true?
Sorry I'm asking so many questions, thanks!

That is true. In your contract, you agree to being there all three days. If you are not, you forfeit your table. Its to keep things fair to everyone who couldn't get in who could be utilizing that space.

Hello Lori,

Since it has been a while, I'm just writing to ask what time we can sign in, find out where our table is, and start set up on Friday morning? I know the AA opens at noon on that day, but since our table will take a while to set up, I was wondering when we can begin. Also, do we pick up our pre-reg and AA badges from normal pre-reg or just from you on the Skybridge or one from each place (like last year)? I remember last year was a bit disorganized for that. Or can we pick up our AA badges on Thursday night along with our pre-reg badges?

Much appreciated.

I'm sending an e-mail to everyone with check-in instructions and table assignmentsin the next day or so. Artists will be picking up their badges in the Press/Relations office. There will not be any confusion this year, though, since it will be myself or my staff handling their distribution this year. There will be Thursday pick-up for those who want it, as well.

Hi there~ I was just curious as to whether table assignments and check in instructions had been sent out yet? I was just a little worried that maybe I missed it in my inbox or maybe something happened to it and the email didn't make it to me. If not, then I guess I don't have anything to worry about.

Thank you~

I was actually going to write asking the same thing as GenkiIchigo, so I guess I'm not alone on this one. I currently have limited internet access, so receiving the check-in instructions and table assignments ahead of time would be really appreciated. And, well, if not then I'll just have to find out when I get there. =]

Same comment as everyone else. (and, cough, cough, it's getting really close here.)

Not only that, but our contract says the AA will be open until 8pm on Friday and Saturday, but the schedule says we'll be open until 10pm those days. Can we get a final confirmation of when the AA will actually be open?
I was Merines!Shirley from Tales of Legendia, Izanami from Persona 4, and Sheena from Tales of Symphonia. I was in the AA at the table with the turquoise table cloth. If you have pictures of any of these (chances are it's of Shirley, though you probably haven't played the game sob sob) then I'd really appreciate them!

(First AA ever, so nervous! I'm selling keychains and plushies so I'm not sure how to price...)

So it's possible to pick up the table until 7PM on Friday, right (then it's forfeited)? I don't want to skip class since I'm taking some very tough uni courses right now.

The fact that you can actually keep on selling past 8pm is interesting... I don't think there'd be many people around though.

Yes, you can pick up the table no later than 7pm. Anyone in your party can pick the table up, but it must be claimed by that time or I'll sell it to someone that can use it. it's not terribly busy past 8PM, but some artists like the extra time to sell, and do a pretty good late evening business. This is particularly true for people who do on-the-spot commissions.

Just two questions.
1. So, if we were in the original...group of people who got in the AA (not on the waiting list) do we need to get in the long pre-registration line, or do we only need to pick up badges from you?
2. Will there be any sort of electrical outlets our power in our booths?

If you were one of the original people, you should follow the check-in instructions I sent you! ^.^

Electricity is available, but it is very expensive, so you will probably want to get a few people to share with you.

Yeah, I know, I'm just a little confused by the phrasing. I understand that people who signed up in the last two weeks need to go through the long line, and then it says I would still be able to pick up my badge in the info desk. Is this in addition to the regular pre-registration badges, or should I just ignore the pre-registration line altogether and head right for the info desk? Again, I'm one of the original artists.

And sorry if I'm the only person confused by this (...my boothmate is too, in my defense!) but I'm an idiot and it's my first Sakuracon.

Your artist badge is your membership badge. You will not have to wait in the pre-reg line, you'll be picking up your badge in the industry office. I can understand how this might be confusing to new artists. ^.^ It's better to ask then guess and get it wrong, right?

Artists added in the last two weeks weren't on the list I sent to membership, so they have to get their badges the old-fashioned way.

Hello! This is actually a question for SakuraCon 2011, but I thought I'd go ahead and post it anyway.

It says in the FAQ that artists may share a table, and I know it's a fairly common practice for two artists to share a table, but is three artists alright? I know it might be a bit squishy, but I figure if worst comes to worst we can just rotate the artists around. :D So, what's the word?
