Progress for me includes still deciding what to wear to the convention xD; I have two cosplays in mind, and the third's up for grab sort of still.

I got the rough estimate from my friend whom I'm commissioning an outfit from ^_^ I also got the reply back for the same costume- for the wig- from amphigory~ things are looking good.

Second costume I want to do- the wig's all done. I have to get to goodwill and see what i can find x.x

Trance Kuja wig has arrived. I'll post pictures as soon as I can. Maybe that will motivate me to work on the rest of the costume XD

No tutorials, but interface the HELL out of it (ideally with heavier-weight stuff); that should help it maintain its shape much better, but not require the extra packing space that wiring it would.

As for my progress:
I have a partly assembled Sanzo crown! Needs to be secured more with the epoxy putty and possibly a stabilising band on the inside, then more time with the dremel and paint, but it's a good start. I freaking love resincasting.

Also got all the pieces for the rakusu cut, aside from the solid header strip. They were shaped just a little bit with a heat gun to give them a faint curve, and holes punched with a leather punch (yay, mallets!). They've got one coat of Modge Podge hardcoat on the front now; need to do a second, and then the backsides, before I see if they need something sturdier. Still not sure how I'm going to assemble it just yet.

Other than that, a lot of sketches and calculations is most of what I've got to show. The robe fabric came in yesterday, and I want to wrap myself up in it and snuggle. Linen/cotton blend from Dharma Trading. LOVE IT.

tl;dr I pretend this is progress because it's too damned hot to do much
Tentative 2010 Cosplay Plans:
[D.Gray-man] Miranda Lotto (pre-exorcist)
[Juuni Kokki] Risai (formal)
[Saiyuki] Koumyou Sanzo

(2007, 2008: Ise Nanao, Road Kamelot)
(2009: Unohana Retsu, Miranda Lotto, Risai)

So many plans, so little time ...

I fixed Meg's pants finally and I started on her shirt(finally trimmed it down a size).

I also have started on the inside of Seto Kaiba's jacket and shirt/pants belt things. XD And that's because that is the only material I have right now to my disposal. I wish I had more but alas I can't figure out the right fabric to use.

-stares at PPGZ vests-...I Know your there! Stop pestering me with your....being there. >3>

I want to make the Magnet version of Megurine Luka so badly....but I don't want to suffer if it cuts in on my other cosplays or other things I need to get done. =<

Koumyou's at 61%. Got the wig styled up last night, rakusu dangly bits painted and the framework in progress, crown all finished, and kiseru finished. Next step is to get a light resin hardcoat on the rakusu framing to stabilise it and scrub the gesso off my desk so I can get back to sewing.

Course, I'm working on him simultaneously with another cosplay (Kaya from Trinity Blood) and trying to get both done for ALA (January 7th), so ... yeah.

I got my wig for Serra... now to figure out how to make pigtails without showing the wig cap through it... or my own hair... cheaply made piece of junk...

I'm being a bad girl and neglecting Seto. >_> I've been working on making Magnet Luka which honestly I want to finish so I can wear it to masquerades. Because it'd be damn fine.

School work is really keeping me from finishing anything and its pissing me off. Next weekend when I'm not trick or treating I'm gonna kick some ass with sewing.

Meg is almost finished thank god. One less thing to worry about. -_-

WHY MUST YOU BE SO DIFFICULT BUBBLES?! WHY?

Maybe I'll get some images posted sooner or later of finished pieces. :3

Well I do, but its sort of a crappy wig. Not terrible but its not the best either. But I found a slightly alternate version of Meg's outfit and she has a different colored hair so I'm planning on dying my hair so I can just use that.

Oh... I was wondering because I just bought a wig that looks just like that, thinking I had something to use it with... only to not have anything, save for a beautifully crafted red wig...

@crystal
Don't you hate it when you do that? You buy something thinking your going to use it for something but ultimately don't. Where did you buy the wig from? :3

Halloween Store... but it just called out to me... I've worn is twice now.
Once, just for the heck of it this past saturday... only to discover that I kind've looked like Kushina Uzumaki from Naruto...
Then I just wore it on Wednesday to a costume contest at my local game store. I was testing my Yosuke-chan costume out... came in fourth...
Yeah... it's a fun wig, and I'll probably use it for an actual cosplay... eventually... but not now.

Back on subject:
Serra: At a stand-still currently. I'm torn between making an under-layer for my current dress, or getting a new dress altogether.

Janaff: No progress at all. Currently debating how to even start on the wings.

Yosuke-chan: Currently looking for a red-pleated skirt (short) and large strawberries, which could be turned into a hair-tie. Also trying to find a long red scarf for the bow... I will probably wind up using my own hair for him. I have the shoes, the sweater-vest, and the white button-up shirt already. I picked up black-knee-highs, but have decided I need slightly thicker socks for that.

Izzy: Nothing done on him. He'll probably be the last cosplay I'll work on.

Kei: Working on getting my measurements done.

Nanao: Main outifit is almost done. Will work on making the tabi socks and the waraji's later.

Chikorita Gijinka: Almost complete. Needs green spraypaint for the beads before I string them together. Then they'll be done.

One step forward, two steps back.

Gotta rethink how to put the rakusu together. The snaps wouldn't hold -- or rather, they'd hold but then they popped off when I tried to separate them. Sigh. Might have to suck it up and not make the rakusu disassembleable.

Femme Kaiba-40% complete. I just need to make the arm straps for the pants and shirt, dye my hair a different brown, make the arm bands, belt, and card necklace, and make the jacjet entirely. Doesn't sound like much but I know the jacket will in fact kill me. DX

Magnet Luka-45% complete. I need a wig, the headphones, and to finish the dress which is almost done. So I'll have a large chunk of that done soon.

Infinity Meg-85% complete(hoo boy!). I need to dye my hair(same as kaiba), make the pants tighter and yellower, fix the shirt, and remake the harness.

Rolling Bubbles-40% complete. I need the vest, gloves, bubble wand, shoes, belt, and dress. A friend is making the dress for me. But everything else is being done by me. x_x Plus all the other girls vest's. -is going to dye for sure from this one-
