Alright... Halloween fall on a Saturday. While I already promised my manager I wouldn't request any more time off until SakuraCon, it doesn't mean that I can't request a morning shift. Which is exactely what I'm going to do, if you want to get together on Halloween. It'd give me a chance to change from one costume to another. (I'm going to be a dark fairy for halloween, with my own designs. If I had the day, or at least evening off, I was thinking of going to Legends Casino for their Halloween contest. Who wouldn't want to dress up and have a chance at winning a lot of money....)

I'm all for doing it on Halloween. (It's my favorite holiday and I always end up spending it alone watching scary movies.)

I can't really stand scary movies... *sigh* Sorry about that.

I'm thinking of setting up a new DA page dedicated to CMW, and advertise DopplegangerCosplay through that, also. What does everyone think... before I actually set it up?

Oh, I wasn't suggesting we watch scary movies. Just saying that's what I always end up doing. I only know a few people who can sit through them with me without freaking out. LOL.

I think that's a good idea actually. Then everyone involved can have a little extra promotion for their cosplaying.

Okay. I need to set up a new email just for it.

So... what's should our theme be for Halloween? Personally, I want to pull off a Bleach costume... but I'd like to know what others are planning for.

Frankly I'm going with whatever I can manage. The next costume I'm going to do is Pikachu, which I'm hoping to have done for Kumoricon. If I have time to get to another before Halloween I'm considering either Setsuna or Haruka from Sailor Moon. I'm still new to sewing so I'm trying to stick to fairly simple outfits.

How late did the picnic last? When I got there, the stupid wine festival was going on and everything was fenced off. I thought it never happened but I'm glad it did and I'm watching the vids right now.

We thought we were actually going to have to move to another location because of the festival, but we ended up finding an area that wasn't fenced off and set up there. Everyone left at different times. Some people left around 3:00, a couple others left around 4:00, and the last five of us were there until about 5:30 before three of us took off to see a movie and the other two went home. Most people either had places to be or a long drive back home. The three of us that went to the movie didn't have to be anywhere. That's why we stuck around so long.

Sweet, well, I'll just wait until the next one happens. This time I'll actually be living in Yakima Valley so getting there won't be a problem at all...unless I have a job that won't let me off.

The next one, so far, is schedualed for Halloween.

YamiStar and I have been chatting though, and we're thinking of a New Years event, also. Like renting one of those meeting rooms at a hotel and gathering there. Anime music all night. Ramine at midnight (New Years) and then more anime/JRock/Jpop music. It's either that, or big a big tv and watch an anime series all night.

The new years one sounds fun but I'll be at Mewcon in Vancouver WA on that day. Halloween huh? Akicon is that month but not on Halloween, it'd be nice to see the cosplays.

Halloween is a possitive date now. That way... hopefully everyone can show. First post has been updated with better information. I hope plenty of people will show. I'll be bringing a meat platter and candy.

There shouldn't be any problem with me being able to come that day. Although I don't know about Jessica. It sounds like her mom is kind of freaky about not letting the kids out of the house on Halloween, but at the same time she'll be 18 by then. I'll have to talk to her about it. You can count me in. If something important suddenly crops up and I won't be able to make it I'll let you know. (Although I highly doubt anything will come up.)

I will probably wear my Riza Wildman costume for that. Haven't started yet, but it's the next one I'll be working on and I should be able to finish it by then since it's pretty basic.

I can bring drinks again. Maybe apple cider for the holiday? And maybe some chips or something. (Hopefully I'll actually remember to grab my stuff this time. >_< )

Well... don't go too extravagent. Most people seemed to like things that were easy to grab and snack on. I'll be bringing napkins, but I think I'll skip on plates and utensils. They weren't even touched at this last one. I might pick up some boxed juices, though...

I need some feedback, though! Favorite type of candy for people! Or should I bring some more kisses?

You can buy apple cider really cheap in big jugs. It only gets expensive if you go for sparkling cider. (I'm way too cheap to buy enough of that for a large group of people. LOL.)

I vote for peanut butter cups in the way of candy. I love those things. They're like crack to me. Or Almond Joy.

Oooo! Ideas!

I'll be bringing Nanao, if she's finished by then.
If she's not finished, I'll bring the current progress on my Chikorita cosplay. (original design.)
