blazblue tourney for sakura-con 2010 anyone?

i'm new to the forums, but have gone so far to 3 sakura-cons, and i would like to set-up a tourney for blazblue (also freeplay of course) but have no idea how to, or who to contact (i've used search and it hasn't been the best helper...) what exactly would i need to set this up in the games room? i'm sure i can find the necessary tv's, helpers and systems by the time the con rolls around but like i said before, have no idea how to go about this. anyone that can help would be appreciated, or leads to someone that can better explain how to set something up. thanks in advance! also anyone interested in blazblue itself should speak up!

To run it would I have to be a staff member or volunteer? I'd willingly sign up if that ment I could run this. I'm really lookin foward to this and getting some prizes together for the winners (some kind of japanese/anime swag)


Ayato you should give BB a try, if you liked guilty gear you'll love it

Well, SF4 is the more popular of title, so I don't think they would replace it. I can you could try messaging one of the forum mods that look like they are in charge of small events. Though, I'm sure some of them pass through these threads occasionally and see it as well. Time will tell.

I've played Guilty Gear a little on spare time. Was watching some BB videos and man it looks sweet.

I would play that for sure. It's a better game in my opinion than SF4. There was a tourney for Blaze Blue at Kumoricon and it was a huge success (not for me though).

Hello,

I'm the Arcade Coordinator for this year. It is looking very likely that our arcade will actually have a BlazBlue arcade machine - I don't want to interfere with a console BlazBlue tournament (which is out of my area), but is there interest for an arcade tournament? If there is, I'd love to hear player input in regards to how it should run.

The console one will have more consoles available, so more entrants will be allowed. I'd suggest capping the BB Arcade tourney (and/or setting it to off-hours) so that freeplay has ample time with it as well.
